The kolam-maami…

…. is a title am all set to earn very soon:-) Here is the one I did for another SIL’s house-warming..

    OMG!! are you for real?? if I hadnt met you, I would have thought you were un real!!! Its SUPERB!

    you know Vidya, yesterday only Amma was telling me that she had gone to her Perima’s house in Kerala and at the ripe age of 58, learnt 20 new kolams from her perima who is about 78…and Amma was so excited about it..I told her that Vidya would be happy to meet you since she is a kolam freak..and this post from you!

    You don’t have to work to earn the title. You are already the expert Kolam mami..:-)

    Hey Vidya,

    Loved to see your Kolam. Was just explaining my colleagues about the differences between a typical Iyer kolam and an Iyengar kolam!!

      @SS: i can now sign kolam contracts with marriage chatrams ? ;-) let me know when your’s happens.. will surely do the kolam!

      @Ani: it was made with wet arisi maavu- rice soaked and ground.. that job was of course out-sourced ;-)

    I still put that kolam which u taught me when i was in 4th standard. Its the only kolam i put in front of all the houses i have stayed from delhi to pondicherry.
