Itsy Bitsy Spider

This is the latest addition to Varun’s craft kitty- the Itsy Bitsy Spider (I think it is as huge as Harry Potter’s Acromantula:)). When I messaged the teacher in the evening saying that it looks awesome, she replied stating that the kids did it themselves. To quote her, the kids colored the body and she added more black.. They pushed the pre-cut face and legs in and she stapled them.. And they made the eyes themselves. They all held their spiders and sang ‘Itsy Bitsy Spider went up the water spout…’

On another note, have some stories to share on the weekend that just went, but the details have to wait:)

  1. Wow rey..thats super nice…how did they do it…I dont think I understood that! Errr…can you teach me ? or rather can Varun teach me…

    wait till tomorrow will ya?

    1. @ LR- LOL!

@ Charu- He kept shoving it on us and saying- hrrrmmm poochii and all that:) basically trying to scare us.

@ All- Varun acted a bit pricey and refused to say thank you:| So mommy says thank you.

The making as explained by the teacher:

      1. Two paper plates colored with black crayons for that rugged look
      2. Black scrap/chart papers cut into long thin strips
      3. Another black circle cut from the same paper for face

      1. Place the strips between the paper plates to make them look like those hideous crawling pairs of legs, and also the piece cut out for the face

      2. Staple them up nicely.

      3. Draw/mark the eyes on the face with a pencil/pen (it can have a squint like Varun’s does!)

      You are done!!

Will ask his teacher to post the procedure if it is any different:)
